LYRICS
I
PROMISE YOU A MURDER --- it's my doubt to make
you understand no react on rules don't wait for schedules
don't stick your face under glass lay your hand down
on your knees scatter-brained realize a time-lag I don't
want you to hide this way is too far don't need to delve
and call my first case it's no delusion I promise you
a murder.
WIPE NO TEARS --- You wipe no tears
Though children are sad Your task is just To bring the
death I saw you enter Someone's room I saw you enter
Bring your sense A kind of doom A person bleeds The
body so small to eat Children standing Round the scene
They never will the brain goes clean you look around
now hear they sing your song a view up and down children
standing round no time can relieve the pain the tears
are lost in pain.
CUL-DE-SAC --- dislocate my savage
dreams and you'll know it's reality count the tears
in my eyes no disgust in my mind it's substantial for
my life my subliminal thoughts are my precepts I don't
want to submit don't try to locate my disease it's no
disease don't worry I'll get my second chance now I'm
waiting for the onrush in my head but do you know I'm
in a cul-de-sac I said to you tell me lies to believe
in you you hope to clear my face with a "four-years-night"
your words so silent and strange my head is closed for
you
NO PREMONITION --- back on the television
bespatter now don't look beside you could be frightened
this is not the first night but sit down calm can you
sympathize but that's of no avail please realize now
all this happens round you there's no premonition we
just see the fact and we only wait for another take.
WORTHLESS --- push aside the sense
of a full life search for a home In a dead way I see
you sample a kind of a game tell me what happens when
you go again a shock to me don't matter when it's christmas
don't matter how you can call your game awake for me
awake for you I hold my arms around what you leave I
can't imagine that you see an aim you take your gun
you take your hand with open eyes you stop the light
sadness bloodthirsty life is worthless so you start
to end
MADE OF WAX --- I look around all the
faces on the ground The faces seem to be made of wax
all the eyes out of life the walls so red
my thoughts turn to black all the men they are moving
so slow people staring at the scene the tears so cold
policemen talking about what happened a woman's shout
something's wrong here I open the door the walls can't
enter this floor
MY BACK --- this place is good for
me to begin so I realize something your eyes staring
at no trees just lies I can use for me it's a harder
disease I don't follow you it's a harder disease so
I will laugh at you they call you a fool they say you
are weak but nothing can make me accept your act let's
bury your brain mud one step beside let's talk about
murder I have to decide what's about you I see the trees
around you no tree is staring at you this is what I'm
choosing too don't know how can I react there's nothing
to regret don't know how can I regret so I show you
my back
THE OCCURENCE --- When you look around
The circumstance And you think about The occurence You
know no one can judge What happened to you [I wish he
was dead] A face on a wall And a face behind your eyes
Can you tell me how to act Under pain of your mind You'll
never touch a small hand Ever see the closed eyes Tears
run across your face You'll never break the emptiness
And you hear your cry again You don't to listen to reason
They just all commiserate you The only help you think
about Somebody should die.
YOUR EYES --- you enter my life don't
know why can't review the beginning on the ground my
view up where is god you look down
on my wounds you ought to feel my fear despaired I know
my tears my body full of blood I try to find the sense
of my death I look in your eyes don't know why to find
a kind of sorrow but now I know your eyes don't know
cries you look down to stop the rest of my life I see
your eyes and I know I will go now I see your eyes I'm
despaired and I now I will go now
CONVERSION --- when they crawl into
fear someone should be near I turn around and they will
crying out you don't have to shout I could be your avenger
when I have to explain the reason for this pain I just
feel shame I want you dead want you alive I ask for
advice and I know when you die I'm down on your dignity
I have to decide I have to punish you want a sudden
insight I could free you but will you lock up me forever
in my head and I know your wrong but no conversion they
pronounce you guilty I make no reply
INSIGHT --- I hope one day we will
understand I don´t think so but it´s time
to try.
REVIEWS
NEWLIFE 03/1994
Wir schreiben das Jahr 4 nach „Gottes Tod",
ganz Deutschland ist okku- piert vom schlechten Geschmack
unter der Herrschaft von „Das will Ich",
„Projekt Mistgabel", „Relatives Doofsein"
und anderen. Ganz Deutschland? Nein, denn im kleinen
Dorf Senden bei Münster, leisten zwei Elektroniker
erbitterten Widerstand. Jetzt mal im Ernst: Solch eine
hervorragende Produktion ist in deutschen Landen wirklich
selten geworden.
Mein Lieblingsbeispiel hierfür ist „Made
Wer
intelligent. Doch bei
„Cul De Sac" und „My Back" meint
besitzt. X Marks The Pedwalk legen mit „The Killing
SIDELINE MAY 1994
Here comes already the third album of XMTP! Through
the years, Sevren Ni-Arb has definetly managed to become
one of the electronic leaders of the moment. The time
when we dared comparing them with Skinny Puppy seems
so far nowadays and XMTP meanwhile imposed and convinced
us with their very personal music. No doubt about it,
this new album is the best and most worked-out of the
three. While remaining itself, I mean dark danceable
electronics, XMTP however manages to introduce new sounds
with perfection. If the previous Human Desolation was
dealing with drugs, themain theme of this Killing Had
begun is death. If this third cd album didn´t
give me the sensations I had experienced with Freaks,
some tracks here are of very high quality. Just think
of the powerful and danceable My Back on which Sevren´s
girlfriend Estefania (you might have discovered on his
side-project Ringtailed Snorter) is in charge of the
backings. There is also the most EBM-orientaed cut Worthless.
I will also mention two songs which in some ways evoked
the first album: The occurence and conversion. Once
again, an excellent album that can only be crowned with
success!
