FROM THE VERY BEGINNING X-MARKS THE PEDWALK SHOULD BE SOMETHING SPECIAL AND VERY CLOSE TO MY MIND.

In the time xmtp was found main aspects of our musical context were influenced by the canadian and european electronic body music scene. But from the first note I´ve written and the first noise I´ve created xmtp should have an own music-style and I ever wanted to feel a kind of evolution in my music.

First our musical direction was hard stuff and our music was dominated by aggressive percussion and synthesizer sequences. The concept and themes for the lyrics around xmtp were influenced by the idea to lighten up the dark side of human psyche (remember Regan Eracs and me had plans for studying psycholgy - we never had - even it is mentioned in the press very often).

As you can read in our story the name x-marks the pedwalk has been taken from a story by Fritz Leiber that we´ve found in a book by Stephen King (we loved his books). We wanted a name that is unusual, special and not easy to copy...
